We are happy to hear you are interested in
becoming a contract instructor for the A.P.S.D.
Here are some benefits of teaching classes
for the Association:
 |
You can get paid to teach! The
A.P.S.D. pays instructors $70 per instructional hour. If your agency allows you to present a class
for the A.P.S.D. while
on agency time, in lieu of you receiving monetary
compensation your agency
receives free training credits.
|
 |
You present classes around your
schedule. |
 |
The A.P.S.D. handles all course
certification, marketing, class announcement, student
registration and required paperwork preparation.
|
 |
You get the opportunity to enhance
and elevate the skills and knowledge of public safety
dispatchers. |
For a step by step explanation of what is
needed to develop and present a class for the A.P.S.D, download
and read the Contract Instructor Guide below. Also on this
page, you will find various forms available for download that
you will need as an instructor.
If you encounter any problems, contact the
Class Coordinator, Melissa Hernandez, at
training@sdapsd.org or
by calling 619.342.7344 |
